I had a single room which was very comfortable and not ridiculously small as many are. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and particularly accommodating over car parking. Breakfast was one of the best I have had at any hotel and it was hot - excellent!! I would recommend the hotel without hesitation.

Room well furnished obviously quite recently, but rather cold possibly due to freezing weather
I attended a funeral of a very close relative, and wuld normally stay with the family rather than a hotel. Therefore no desire to look our for criticism

Central location in small market town. Rooms recently refurbished to a high standard. Very friendlt staff
There was confusion when booking on-line whether breakfast was included. I spoke to two members of staff on the telephone, both confirmed it was. On checking out, they tried to charge extra for breakfasts on two of the rooms and had charged my nephew even more than that for his room. I then had to pay an extra £6 on my credit card to get the incorrect charges cancelled and the correct charges put on my account. It was a very disappointing end to an otherwise very pleasant stay.

Good value. Well placed for access to the Offas Dyke path.
Difficulty opening the door of our room (No 25), due to heavy hinges and difficulty gripping the smooth circular door-knob.

waut for 1.5 hours for dinner, after ordering. Caused by large party that was known in advance - not good enough.

Arriving at check-in and finding no staff present was frustrating after a long walk. I had to leave and find accommodation elsewhere .

pleasant stay with great amenities
The room was well-equipped, with ample tea, coffee, and biscuits for our stay. The modern bathroom was a highlight, especially the jet bath which we enjoyed thoroughly each night.
The location offered limited local dining options.
